We have had this tested, and received certification for the HAILSTOP ROUND with the highest possible hail resistance class. It was awarded the HW5 class not only in terms of water tightness, mechanics, and light transmission, but also for the optics. For you this means: even with hailstones of up to 5cm, your dome rooflight remains completely undamaged.
With appropriate accessories the dome rooflight can also be utilised as a ventilation opening, as well as for smoke extraction (according to LBO) in case of fire.
