The right choice for a flat roof with aluminium standing seam
The metal AK-SE / AS is a highly insulated upstand available in the AS version as a specially designed upstand with an aluminium sheet connection system for installation on aluminium standing seam roofs.
The internal /support skins are made of galvanised sheet steel with a coating in RAL 9002. On request, the coating can also be rendered in a different colour. The thermal insulation between the internal and external skin consists of 60mm mineral fibre, whereby an excellent U-value of 0.46W/m2K is achieved.
Additional benefits of the metal AK-SE / AS upstands are the quick waterproofing of the structure by connecting the vapour barrier to the upstand, and the unhindered expansion of the roof membrane by separation of the dome rooflight from the upstand’s external skin.
These upstands can also easily be used in applications with SHEV functionality.
